Design Coffee Talk - Kohl’s

Every two weeks, I organized educational design sessions for my team—part discussion, part hands-on learning. These sessions featured guest speakers, quick Figma tips, and conversations sparked by articles from the UX Collective, N/N, Figma, DScout, Dovetail and other industry voices. I guided the team through ways to sharpen their craft in journey mapping, service design blueprints, facilitation, and workshop design, while creating space to practice and share ideas. The goal was to grow both our individual skills and our collective design maturity, fostering a culture of continuous learning and curiosity.

AI in Practice Committee - Kohl’s
I serve on our AI Practice Committee, a small group dedicated to exploring and introducing how AI can enhance our design and research process. Together, we share AI emerging tools like Miro AI, Figma Make, ChatGPT, Dovetail, DScout, Lovable, and Bolt—experimenting with their capabilities and sharing best practices across the team. We discuss when and how to incorporate AI effectively, from writing better prompts to choosing the right tool for the task. This role allows me to mentor peers in navigating AI’s evolving landscape while shaping practical ways it can elevate our design craft and to keep learning!
